The Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation (CI-AUF), in partnership with the Department of Education, successfully held its 6th National Conference on Teaching and Learning Chinese Mandarin as a Foreign Language last July 24 and 25 at the AUF Sports and Cultural Complex, Angeles City.
The two-day conference gathered 317 school heads and teachers from 72 public high schools from all over the country implementing the Chinese Mandarin program under the DepEd’s Special Program in Foreign Language (SPFL). This year’s theme, “In Keeping with the New Thrust of DepEd SPFL”, the conference aims to strengthen the capacity of Chinese-Mandarin language teachers to make high school students more globally competitive in the perspective of linguistic diversity.
